Benetech is proud to be the Grand Sponsor of this year’s Powder River Basin Coal Users Group (PRBCUG) Annual Meeting, which will be co-located with ELECTRIC POWER. Each year the meeting attracts corporate executives and plant professionals from leading global coal-fired generating companies to share and discuss exclusive industry insights.
If you’re involved with coal power, this is a rare chance for you to learn more about Powder River Basin coal. Enhance your knowledge and skill with new ideas and proven best practices in areas such as safety, operations, maintenance and environmental compliance. Network with hundreds of coal-power professionals as well.
During the annual meeting, Benetech President and CEO Ron Pircon will partner with Michael Schimmelpfennig, engineer for St. Louis-based Ameren Corporation, for two presentations focused on Ameren’s Coal Dust and Spillage Reduction Program.
Ameren Missouri has four coal-generating centers ranging from about 600 to 2,500 MegaWatts. Its multi-year program aims to enhance their coal-handling systems for containment, an important first step to improve coal dusting, minimize dust-suppression costs and improve worker safety. The presentations will cover the program outline, the work to date and the justification for the upgrade work.
The first presentation will be from 9:40am to 10:30am on Tuesday, March 20, in the PRBCUG track. The second will be on Thursday, March 22, in the general Coal Dust Control for Cost Savings and Improved Safety Electric Power track, which takes place from 9 am to 10:30 am. .
